The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) runs a variety of educational marketing campaigns and live activations through its PlaySmart program, aimed at creating awareness about the PlaySmart educational and support resources available to players and their families. Campaigns are promoted through a range of media and channels, including digital, social, print and radio.
The Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) runs a social marketing campaign across the Province each year that targets a specific demographic. RGC also delivers Problem Gambling Prevention Week, organized in conjunction with local counselling agencies, governments, and gaming providers. The main purpose of the program is to raise awareness of the risks of problem gambling; ways to limit risks; realistic expectations of winning and losing; and where to get local help.
